|Players age divisions are determined by what their age is on January 1st, 2014. Players may request to play up in age division. Play will be governed by the R&A Rules of Golf and its Decisions and, where applicable, by the following local rules, Conditions, and Definitions, subject to changes or amendments by the Junior Golf Tour Ireland rules Committee.
The Tournament Rules Committee decisions will try to avoid disqualifications for any violations of the Rules of Golf. Instead, the player may be assessed a severe stroke penalty (4) on any hole where the infraction would normally lead to disqualification. (every situation will be evaluated)
YOUNGER AGE BRACKETS
Age divisions 10 and under will have a 10 shot rule. Once a 10 as been reached, a player must pick up and wait for the other players in the group to complete the hole.
DISTANCE MEASURING DEVICES
Are permitted for measuring distances ONLY. All other electronic devices such as cell phones, headphones, pagers and the like may not be used during play.
Players and caddies must wear acceptable golf attire.
Walking spectators must stay on the cart path or the rough at all times. Spectator may not give players advice during the round. Spectator may not use any electronic devices such as cell phones, pagers, etc.
CODE OF CONDUCT
Junior Golf Tour Ireland will not accept, abusive language, club throwing, cheating, disrespect of volunteers or officials, abuse to the course or facility, or any other conduct unbecoming of a player.
Ties for 1st place will be broken with a sudden death playoff. All other ties will be determined by a card off starting from the last hole played and going back until a winner is determined.
